The prints of the artist Käthe Kollwitz are the inspiration for this course. Which printing processes did the artist experiment with and print? What is the difference between intaglio and relief printing techniques? In addition to techniques such as woodcut and etching, the program also includes experimental printing techniques with unusual materials. It is drawn, scratched, cut and of course printed.

Sixth of six dates until 14.6.24 (not on 10.5. / 24.5. / 31.5.24). The course is aimed at teenagers and adults.

Feel like meeting new people and sharing art over drinks? Then you’ve come to the right place for our “Blind Date with Art”!

In the eleventh edition of our exhibition series “facing each other”, three works come together in which temporal and spatial orders are questioned: Haegue Yang (*1971) traces the timeless atmosphere of foreign places in her video work “Unfolding Places” (2004) from the Haubrok Collection. Also from the Haubrok Collection are three metronomes that the artist Martin Creed (*1968) makes tick at different speeds. They make time acoustically tangible, while Kanako Hayashi (*1981) makes passing time visible in her video work “The Daughter of Time” (2012) from the Kunsthalle’s collection by unwinding a wool thread.

How do we perceive time and space? After a short introduction to the artworks, we invite you to the Kunsthallen Café for drinks and snacks and a lively exchange with changing discussion partners. You can compare your perspectives on art and get to know your counterpart better in a short time.

It is necessary to buy a ticket for the event in advance or to register.
