These are moments of pause and inspiration that he captures in his park pictures. One of these is &#8220;Seelandschaft mit Pappeln&#8221;, which shows a small section of Frankfurt&#8217;s Ostpark. In the stage-like composition, the two people fishing by the lake appear like foreign bodies. A chimney, which only becomes recognizable on closer inspection between the towering thin trees in the background, refers to the influence of industry on nature. The work trolleys and piles of sand in the foreground also make it clear that this is not a naturally occurring green space, but a park that has been systematically created by human hands. Enclosed by the city and yet clearly separated from it, it is intended to offer a green oasis as an &#8220;isolated zone&#8221;. It is intended to be a place of relaxation for people living in the city. However, cultivated nature does not live up to this claim, as it bears the traces of the threat of industrialization, which reveal it as part of the technosphere.
