The tongue is made of polished white marble and is two meters long. It stands like a trophy on a wooden box. Normally an animal&#8217;s tongue remains hidden, but here Vital presents it like a monument.<\/p>\n<p>The tongue is an important tool for camels. Camels live in dry desert regions such as the Sahara or the Arabian Peninsula. They use their tongue to pick up food, even from prickly plants. Their tongue is robust and can withstand thorns. His sculptures often show soft, organic forms. He uses hard materials such as marble or bronze, which he processes in such a way that they appear lively and approachable. In his art, he addresses themes such as identity, culture and personal experiences.<\/p>\n<p>He refers to his childhood in nature and his travels to various countries. After a stay in Egypt, he began to depict camels in his works. He creates bronze and plaster sculptures that show the animal in different ways.
