The One Day Choir at the Kunsthalle
Where art opens up spaces for change, we allow voices to resound – together, with other people, other songs, in a different space. The result is a unique sound adventure: we remember and pass on.
As part of the Duane Linklater mâcistan exhibition and “Flowers everywhere” from the collection, we will immerse ourselves together in the world of choral singing between departure and reorganization, between remembering and passing on. We do voice training, learn new and old songs and transform many voices into a choir.
Anyone can take part, with or without experience, young or young at heart, amateur or professional. Singing brings people together – and is good for body and soul.
Admission incl. Exhibition visit: Pay what you can.
We want as many people as possible to be able to afford to take part. This is why the solidarity principle “Pay what you can” was chosen for this event.

The Andreas Mohn Foundation, the Kunsthalle Bielefeld, the Bielefeld Art and Music School and the City of Bielefeld’s Department of Education are joining forces to promote democratic values, participation and cultural education.
To accompany the current exhibition “Flowers everywhere“, the Kunsthalle Bielefeld and the Mertens Wiesbrock organic farm are hosting a special flower workshop.
Lisa Wiesbrock and florist Luzia Handing provide insights into the Slowflower movement. It is committed to regional, seasonal and sustainable floristry. They also tell us about their sustainably managed flower field in Rietberg-Varensell. Participants then create their own wreath from dried flowers and grasses – a floral memento that will preserve the beauty of summer for a long time.
No prior knowledge is required to participate. The course fee includes all materials for a semi-tied dried flower wreath. 12 people can take part. Minimum age 12 years.
It is necessary to buy a ticket for the event in advance or to register at:
