“Café Gemach Manhattan” at the Kunsthalle Bielefeld
A new meeting place for art and cuisine

The team around Benjamin Wabnitz and Milan Walburg brings a breath of fresh air and an exciting homage to the New York of the 1920s and 1930s to Bielefeld’s gastronomy.
Whether before or after visiting the exhibition, visitors can expect a varied range of breakfasts, hot and cold dishes and homemade cakes.
The “Café Gemach Manhattan” in the Kunsthalle Bielefeld opened its doors at the end of August 2024.
The café’s interior and menu are inspired by the golden era of Manhattan, paying homage to the architecture of the Kunsthalle, which was built in 1968 according to plans by US architect Philip Johnson (1906-2005).
