If a smile comes into the guests’ faces when they enjoy our cupcakes and macarons, if their faces light up for a moment, I am happy. Then it’s the most beautiful job for me, and it’s worth all the effort, precision and passion.”Lea Nüsgen Lea Nüsgen is a master confectioner by conviction. After her training as a traditional German confectioner, she spent 8 years working in various areas where sweet delicacies play a role: At home and abroad in upscale restaurants and hotels, she has served desserts to stars and starlets as well as high-ranking politicians. She has worked in modern as well as classic confectionery, focusing on pure, no-frills perception of flavor and texture in Italian artisan ice cream making. During this intense period, she honed her skills and her very own understanding of creativity in the world of pâtisserie. Through travel projects with a professional aim, she has explored the origins of the production and history of regional, European confectionery. Lea Nüsgen has been putting all her experience into practice now since 2018 with her purely artisanal pâtisserie. The pâtisserie, which does not correspond to the classic German confectionery in result and production, fascinates her to this day. She delights in every delight of your guests and curiosity about this special world in her baking classes. Tartes & Törtchen in der Kunsthalle.
